Senior capability for critical moments.

Interim and fractional leadership solutions for organizations facing a gap, a transition, or executive expertise without the need for a permanent appointment.

Interim leadership

When the seat cannot stay empty

An unexpected departure at the top of an organisation creates a vacuum that compounds daily. Decisions stall, teams drift, and the pressure to make a permanent appointment quickly produces exactly the wrong outcome, a rushed hire made under duress.

Interim leadership breaks that dynamic. A seasoned executive steps in with no long-term stake in internal politics and no legacy to defend, focused entirely on stabilising the function and moving the agenda forward while the permanent search runs at the pace it deserves.

Interim CEO

Steady leadership through a founder transition, an unexpected departure, or a period of significant organisational change.

Interim CFO

Finance leadership through a reporting cycle, an audit, a transaction, a systems implementation or a capital event.

Interim CHRO

People leadership through a restructure, an integration, a culture reset, or the gap between permanent appointments.

Interim Portfolio Leaders

Operating leadership for private capital portfolio companies, stabilising performance, driving a value creation plan, or bridging to a permanent hire.

How it works

Speed of deployment

We maintain an active bench of senior executives available for interim engagement. Qualified candidates typically within days, not weeks.

Defined scope, clean exit

Every interim engagement is scoped with a clear mandate, defined deliverables and a planned handover to the permanent appointment.

An unexpected leadership departure can create uncertainty at a critical moment. Decisions stall, teams drift, priorities lose momentum, and the pressure to appoint a permanent successor quickly can result in a costly compromise.

Fractional leadership

Senior capability without a full-time mandate

How it works

Flexible commitment

Engagements are structured around what the business needs: a set number of days per month, a defined project, or an ongoing advisory rhythm.

Path to permanent

Fractional engagements frequently reveal what the permanent role should look like. When the time comes, we are already positioned to run that search.

Fractional CFO

Financial strategy, capital structure, reporting discipline and board-level financial leadership for organisations not yet ready for a full-time CFO.

Fractional CMO

Commercial and marketing leadership, positioning, go-to-market strategy and demand generation, brought in at the level the business actually needs.

Fractional CHRO

People strategy, organisational design, compensation architecture and leadership development, without a full-time people executive.

Fractional Leaders

Experienced operators engaged across your organization or portfolio companies, bringing pattern recognition experience from having navigated multiple value creation cycles.

Many organizations need senior leadership capability before they can justify the cost of a full-time executive. Fractional leadership bridges that gap by providing experienced executives who deliver strategic direction, functional expertise, and executive oversight on an ongoing, flexible basis.

Fractional leadership is suitable for scaling companies, private capital portfolio companies, and established organizations where a function needs senior leadership but would otherwise be out of reach.

Fractional leadership

Senior capability without a full-time mandate

Not every organisation needs a full-time functional leader, and many that need the capability cannot yet justify the cost of one. Fractional leadership closes that gap: a genuinely senior executive engaged on a part-time, ongoing basis, bringing capability that would otherwise be out of reach.

It suits scaling companies, private capital portfolio companies, and established organisations where a function needs senior direction but not senior headcount.

When to use which

Interim

A full-time need for a defined period. The executive is embedded, operating with the authority of the role, typically three to twelve months.

Fractional

An ongoing part-time need. The executive brings senior capability on a recurring basis, often across an extended horizon.

Permanent search

A sustained, full-time requirement. Interim and fractional engagements often run in parallel with a permanent search, and frequently sharpen the search requirements.
